Our take
I grabbed this DDJ-RB as a backup for mobile sets, and it works as expected—compact and Rekordbox-native. The USB connectivity is simple, and the 16 pads are handy for cue points and loops. The inclusion of delay and filter effects adds some creativity. However, the single USB port limits expansion, and the Mic input is only 1/4-inch, which is fine for basic use. The unit feels light and plasticky, so it's best for practice or casual gigs. Given it's tested working, you can trust it out of the box. For the price it's a capable budget controller, but don't expect pro-quality faders or robust construction.
