About this product
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-RB is a 2-channel double deck controller designed for Rekordbox software. It features 16 performance pads, built-in effects (delay, filter, flanger), and multiple inputs including 3 line and 3 phono. With 24-bit/44.1 kHz sampling, a USB connection, and a 1U rack height, it is a compact, affordable controller for beginner to intermediate DJs.
Our take
The DDJ-RB is a solid entry-level controller that doesn't break the bank. The 16 pads are great for cue points and effects, and the layout is intuitive. Having multiple line and phono inputs is nice for connecting turntables or other sources. At $246, it's a steal for learning Rekordbox. However, the 24-bit/44.1 kHz sampling is standard but not high-end. The build feels a bit plasticky compared to higher-end models, and the USB-only output limits connectivity. Still, for the price, it's a great starting point.
