Our take
I've been using the DDJ-RB as my go-to portable controller, and it really delivers for the price. The 16 pads give plenty of room for hot cues and samples, and the built-in sound card makes setup a breeze. The jog wheels are responsive and the illumination is a nice touch for dark gigs. That said, I wish the build felt a bit more solid; it's mostly plastic. Also, being USB powered means no standalone use without a laptop. But overall, it's a solid controller for learning or mobile DJing, especially with Rekordbox integration.
