About this product
The Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR is an all-in-one double deck controller with a built-in mixer and sound card, allowing DJing without a laptop. It features 2 decks, 2 channels, 16 performance pads, and effects including loop/sampler. Inputs include 2 phono, 2 line, and 1 mic, with USB ports for USB drives. The 24-bit/44.1 kHz sound card ensures quality audio. Its tabletop design suits mobile and home use. Priced at $950.00, it offers standalone functionality for DJs who prefer USB media.
Our take
The XDJ-RR is a solid standalone unit. I can just plug in a USB drive and play, which is great for quick sets. The built-in mixer and pads give plenty of control. It's portable enough for gigs, though not as compact as some controllers. I do wish it had more effects and a larger screen, but for the price, it's a good middle ground between a full CDJ setup and a laptop controller. Works reliably.
