Our take
I picked up the DDJ-RB used, and it's been a reliable workhorse for learning the ropes. The included rekordbox license saved me money, and the layout is intuitive if you're familiar with Pioneer gear. The effects section is decent, but I wish the pads were velocity-sensitive. For $860, it's a bit steep for a used unit, especially since newer controllers offer more features at similar prices. The 24-bit audio is crisp, and the USB power is convenient. However, the limited I/O and older design might leave you wanting an upgrade sooner than later.
